A cache server is a dedicated server that stores frequently requested Web content locally to speed up access and reduce bandwidth usage.
If a user requests a page that has already been cached, the system does not have to obtain the content from the data's primary storage location. Instead, the Web page is retrieved from the cache server by reusing previously collected data.
