CapEx (or capital expenditure) is a financial term for the money companies invest in purchasing, improving, or extending the useful life of fixed, non-consumable assets (real estate, vehicles, equipment, land, patents, etc.). CapEx investments benefit an organization beyond one fiscal year and are typically one-time investments.
