Real time in technology refers to the execution of computing actions in an interval that corresponds to a physical act. An operating system uses real-time technology if the provided response occurs in the specified, near-instant, time frame.
This technology has an efficient priority management system to put less important tasks aside. A real-time example is autonomous driving or air traffic control.
