Viewport Definition

In computer graphics, a viewport is the area of an application currently shown to the user on a screen. A viewport in web browser terminology is the portion of a web page visible in the browser’s window. There are two types of viewports – the layout viewport is the area in which the webpage is shown. The visual viewport is the currently viewed area, given the device resolution and the zoom level.
